Title

Sensory Friendly Sunday at Mill City Museum

Notes

Location: Mill City Museum 710 South Second Street, Minneapolis, MN 55401

This is a sensory-friendly event held before the museum opens. The event is for individuals and families with autism and other sensory sensitivities.

Time: 10:00 - 12:00 (museum opens at 12:00)

Discover the lively Mississippi riverfront — the very birthplace of Minneapolis — and experience the past and present of this National Historic Landmark. Built within the ruins of what was once the world’s largest flour mill, Mill City Museum is packed with fun for all ages. Play in the water lab; find a sample in the baking lab while you learn about wheat; ride the flour tower (sensory alert: this experience does have a closed environment and sometimes loud audio); and see our “Minneapolis in 19 Minutes Flat” movie to learn the city’s history.
